1. Parties and acceptance
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are an end-user licence agreement between Mobilect Apps, which provides the Kalem mobile app (the “Provider”, “we”), and you. By downloading, installing or using the app (the “App”) you accept these Terms; if you do not agree, do not use the App.
If you obtained the App from the Apple App Store, these Terms replace Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement and section 12 also applies. If you obtained it from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply. Personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. The Turkish version of these Terms is the original; in case of conflict the Turkish version prevails, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
2. The service
The App lets you open, edit and create UDF documents on your device, convert them to PDF and DOCX, import DOCX documents as UDF, start from ready-made templates, and share or print documents. Documents are processed and stored on your device; the Provider has no access to them. Some features are available only with Premium.
3. Not an official app
Kalem is an independent app compatible with UDF (UYAP) files. It is not an official app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Türkiye, UYAP or any public authority. The App does not connect to UYAP and does not send or receive documents to or from it. The “UYAP” name and related marks belong to their owners and are mentioned only to describe file-format compatibility.
4. Not legal advice
The App is a text-editing tool. The App, its petition and document templates, and the content of this website are provided for general convenience and information only and do not constitute legal advice, legal services or a legal opinion. Templates may not suit every case, current legislation, case law or a court’s specific requirements. Consult a lawyer about your legal matters; assessing whether a template is suitable is your responsibility.
5. Your documents and your responsibility
- You are solely responsible for the content, accuracy, completeness, formatting and deadlines of your documents and for submitting them to any court, enforcement office or authority.
- Before submitting a document to UYAP or any authority, check that it opens and displays correctly in the official tools and that its formatting (layout, tabs, indents, tables, images, headers/footers) is as expected. Conversions between file formats and edits may cause differences in appearance.
- If you edit and save an electronically signed document, the signature becomes invalid and the signature file is removed from the saved copy; the App warns you beforehand. Re-signing, if needed, is your responsibility. The App does not verify the legal validity of signatures.
- Documents are stored only on your device, so making backups is your responsibility. Deleting the App or losing, resetting or damaging your device may make documents unrecoverable.
- You retain all rights in your documents; the Provider claims no rights over them.
6. Free tier
On the free tier you may open or create 1 document per day (resetting at 00:00 Türkiye time); reopening the same document on the same day does not use the allowance. When the daily allowance is used up you may optionally watch a rewarded ad to earn at most 1 extra document per day. You can always keep reading and saving the open document. The free tier contains ads; exported PDFs carry a small watermark; some templates and DOCX import/export are Premium-only. Changing the device clock or otherwise manipulating the App to bypass the allowance is prohibited.
7. Premium subscription
Plans and prices
- Premium Monthly: ₺99,99 per month
- Premium Yearly: ₺799,99 per year — with a 7-day free trial for eligible users
Prices shown are for Turkish storefronts and include taxes. Prices are set by the store and may vary by country, tax and time; the price shown on the purchase screen applies. You will be notified in advance of price increases according to store rules.
What’s included
Unlimited documents, no ads, DOCX import and export, watermark-free PDF, all templates and per-document version history. Premium features may change with prior notice.
Payment and auto-renewal
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID (iOS) or Google Play account (Android) at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription automatically renews for the same period at the then-current price unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your store account settings after purchase.
Free trial
The 7-day free trial on the yearly plan is offered once per Apple ID or Google account. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts at the yearly price and you are charged. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase another Premium subscription, where applicable.
Cancellation
- iOS: Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions › Kalem › Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Google Play Store › profile icon › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions › Kalem › Cancel subscription.
Cancellation takes effect at the next renewal; you keep Premium until the end of the paid period. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription. No partial refunds are given for the current period, without prejudice to store policies and mandatory law.
Refunds
Because payments are taken by the store, not by the Provider, refund requests are governed by the store’s rules: reportaproblem.apple.com for Apple, and the Google Play refund policy for Google. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected; the right of withdrawal may not apply to digital content and services supplied immediately, within the exceptions provided by applicable law.
Restoring purchases
On a new device or after reinstalling, sign in with the same Apple or Google account and tap Settings › Premium › Restore purchases in the App. A subscription is tied to the store platform where it was purchased (an iOS subscription does not carry over to Android and vice versa).
8. Licence and intellectual property
The Provider grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, non-exclusive, revocable, limited licence to use the App for personal and professional purposes on devices you own or control. The App’s software, design, name, logo and content, including template texts, belong to the Provider or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, decompile (except as expressly permitted by law), rent, sell or distribute the App. You may freely use the templates in your own documents. Open-source components and fonts included in the App (e.g. the Liberation fonts under the SIL Open Font License 1.1) are subject to their own licences, listed in the App under Settings › Open-source licences.
9. Prohibited use
You may not use the App for unlawful purposes; to forge or create misleading documents or to present an altered official document as unaltered; in a way that infringes third-party rights; to circumvent the App’s security or usage limits; to manipulate ads; or to present the App as an official government application.
10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available”. The Provider does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, that it will render every UDF document perfectly, or that files it produces will be accepted by any institutional system.
To the extent permitted by law, the Provider is not liable for indirect damages, loss of profit, loss of data or documents, missed deadlines, loss of rights or rejection of a document. The Provider’s total liability under these Terms is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Liability for intent and gross negligence, and consumer rights that cannot be limited by contract, remain unaffected.
11. Changes and termination
Features, prices and these Terms may change. Material changes will be announced in the App or on this page before they take effect; continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the new Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. Your licence may end if you materially breach these Terms. Support for certain older versions may end and you may be asked to update so that the App stays current and secure.
12. Additional terms for Apps obtained from the Apple App Store
- These Terms are concluded between you and the Provider only, not with Apple. The Provider, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and its content.
- The licence is limited to use on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
- Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the App.
- In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any, for the App. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
- The Provider, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer protection or similar legislation.
- The Provider, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of any third-party claim that the App infringes intellectual property rights.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance Apple will have the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. For disputes in which you act as a consumer, the consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts of your domicile or of the place of the transaction have jurisdiction within the applicable monetary limits. For other disputes, the courts and enforcement offices of the Provider’s domicile have jurisdiction. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the law of your country of residence in the EU remain unaffected.
